Car

FOR ORCHID & HIBISCUS:

From Cochin/Ernakulam or the Airport: Take NH 47 (Cochin-Trivandrum) towards Alleppey.  Turn right 1 km after ‘SL Puram / Kanyakuri’ towards Mararikulam and continue straight for 3km towards the beach. You will pass a railway crossing at Mararikulam Railway Station, followed by Mararikulam temple, and the village centre before you reach Marari Junction (crossing the beach road). Turn left at the cross roads and follow the signs on the road to ‘Marari Beach Resort’.   On the Beach Road you will pass Marari Beach Resort and then Abad Turtle Beach Resort. 1km after Abad Resort you will reach the village of ‘Pollethai’ with a church and local shops. Turn right after the bridge across the river at the large ‘Alleppey Opticals’ sign.   Follow the small road along the canal and we are on the right side of the canal after the small bridge and before ‘Beach at Pollethai’ Resort.

From Trivandrum or Alleppey:  Go North along NH47 towards Cochin. Turn left at Kalavoor Junction (13km north of Alleppey) towards the beach. After 3.5 km you will reach the Beach Road junction at Katoor village. Turn right towards Mararikulam and continue straight for 1.5km until you reach Pollethai village. Turn left at the large ‘Alleppey Opticals’ sign just before the bridge over the river next to the bakery.   Follow the small road along the canal and we are on the right side of the canal after the small bridge and before ‘Beach at Pollethai’ Resort.

FOR BOUGAINVILLEA & PALM:

From Cochin/Ernakulam or the Airport: Go South along NH47 towards Alleppey. Turn right at Kalavoor Junction (13km before Alleppey) towards the beach. After 3.5 km you will reach the Beach Road junction at Katoor village. Go straight over the junction towards the beach (signposted 'Katoor Beach'). At the beach turn right and follow the red gravel track until you reach the 7th new villa on the right side.

From Fort Cochin:  We recommend you use the Beach Road which is a much more scenic and relaxed way to reach Marari as you avoid the National Highway.  The Beach Road meanders along the coast and provides a direct connection between Fort Cochin and Mararikulam.  You will enjoy the scenery of coastal village life, fishing harbors, authentic Chinese fishing nets, backwaters and a colorful assortment of Christian churches and Hindu temples along the way.
